.: artistic statement :.
My inspiration generally comes from nature, dreams, also from closely observing people. I love examining all sorts of human behaviors and emotions, either of my own, or of those who are around and/or close to me. In details, I am fascinated by the beauty, mystery, intensity, and the nature (both truths and facts) in each of our lives.
Colors and sounds speak to me a lot. As a synesthesic person, I see colors from letters, music, smells, and people; I hear sounds from paintings, nature, and other human activities. For this sensitivity, there are many beautiful and magical things I experience internally that are not in existence anywhere else - and I often try to re-create them in the means I know, when possible.
As described further in the biography section, I have been a musician since very young, and have played in various bands, orchestras, recording sessions, and so on. Music has always been in the core of my life, and it will continue to be that way, along with my passion and love for the arts.
Drawing has always been something that I do on my side as a hobby all these years. In fact, I have never received a proper art education besides taking a course here and there. At this point in time, I simply try to do my best every time I decide to create something new, and see where this endeavor takes me.I love working with pencils and colored pencils, but also work with crayons, charcoals, and acrylics when needed. I also like to incorporate words into drawings.
Ultimately, I feel that the arts for me is a way to celebrate this life on earth as a human being. The arts in general, whether I'm the one creating something or the one appreciating the creations by others, they simply make me feel grateful for all things in the past, present, and future.
