Hinako Saldi Sato is an award-winning pianist, educator, marketer, and a community leader with passion to create opportunities and platforms for people around the world to connect and learn through music.
After graduating with a BM in Music Business and Management from Berklee College of Music, Hinako gained recognition as a performer while working with internationally acclaimed acts such as Women of the World, Mario Frangoulis, Zili Misik, Mika Stoltzman, and National Arab Orchestra. She has shared stages with prominent acts including Smokey Robinson, Angelique Kidjo, Zap Mama, Nona Hendryx, State Radio, The Beautiful Girls, and performed at prestigious stages such as the Carnegie Hall, Blue Note in NYC, Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens Greece, Kennedy Center in Washington DC and many more.
Between 2016-2019, Hinako helped to run the Boston chapter of Women In Music, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to fostering equality in the music industry through the support and advancement of women. In 2019 Hinako launched Women In Music's first chapter in Japan, in hopes of contributing to creating a platform that would serve to advance and elevate women’s roles and voices in the music industry in Japan. Since then, WIM Japan produced and publichsed over 150 online interviews, numerous networking events and seminars for Japanese speaking womxn.
She is also a strong advocate for advancing and elevating voices of Japanese women around the world. In 2018, she co-founded Boston Jyoshikai, a local lifestyle focused community which now has over 470 members in which she hosted monthly meetup events. She also co-founded a platform called B-LEAP under the same mission to cultivate a strong network of Japanese/English speaking bilingual females in the Boston areas and beyond.
In the education sector, she has worked for GPI US as their New York office assistant manager and a head coordinator, helping to run numerous study abroad programs for the Japanese youth coming to the States. In 2018, she co-created "Artful Mind Project", an innovative educational curriculum using arts and visual thinking strategy as a foundational method to help cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and communications skills. The curriculum is currently taught online at Sapporo Shinyo High School in Hokkaido Japan, and other schools in Japan.
Hinako relocated to Tokyo Japan in September 2020 where she now works as the Head of Education at Ableton.

米NPO日本支部 Women In Music Japan元代表。8歳から「小さなジャズピアニスト」として日常的にステージに立つ。奨学金を受けて米バークリー音楽大学に留学、ピアノ演奏と音楽ビジネス経営を学び2011年卒業。
過去にカーネギーホールやケネディーセンター、ブルーノート・ニューヨークやギリシャアテネのヘロディス・アッティコス音楽堂で演奏。Women of the WorldやMario Frangoulis, Zili Misikと主に活動。他にも、Amal Murukus, National Arab Orchestra, Greek National Orchestra, Angelique Kidjoなど多数アーティストと共演。
教育面では、芸術を通して考える力を養う独自教育カリキュラム開発や、日本の中高生達向け海外研修プログラムのコンサル業務、ゲストスピーカーとしての登壇などを積極的に行う。
グローカルなコミュニティー活動にも熱心で、ボストン在住異業種日本人女性をつなぐコミュニティ「ボストン女子会」共同発起人として月例会を企画したり、日英バイリンガルで働く女性達をエンパワーするプラットフォームB-LEAPを立ち上げ教育セミナーやオンラインイベントなどを開催してきた。
2019年4月、母校バークリー音楽大学から芸術を通して社会変革に取り組む人々に与えられる「Berklee Urban Service Award」を受賞。
