.:short film:.

"the magic path" by h∞s production

The Magic Path from H∞S Production on Vimeo.

about the film:

This is a spontaneous short film project that my friend Sayaka Goto and I worked on together in summer 2011. It is our first collaboration and my first short film ever made.
This was also created as a birthday gift for a dear friend of ours, and that version is kept private. This is a public version so the film is approx. 5 min shorter than the original.

There is and really isn't a synopsis or a story in this film. You can simply take everything as is and enjoy them or choose to look beyond and behind them... Up to you :)

Created with iMovie. *Recommended to watch with headphones.

"Fish's Dream"

Picture

The little girl saw
A man walking
All by himself in the misty woods

Was it morning or day
It was light
Air was fine

He walked in silence
Crunching the dead trees on the ground
Wearing his straw hat deep to cover his face

His beard caught her eyes
Pointy and fully grown
His denim pullover is a little oversized
His flannel shirt somewhere between red, orange, and white

Carrying a sack of tools on his shoulder
He kept on strolling, round and about

The girl was curious
She decided to follow along
To see where he headed

He then crossed a small river,
A river that played a beautiful song
Full of life and colors
He rested, on a rock, gazed into water
After a while, he went in

(continue to the right)
---
(continued)

Bathed himself in Music
He became one
With nature
His lines melt into the water flow
Cycle of life
Rock becomes stone becomes sand becomes water
He sang
He flew
He breathes
He loves

A red streak dancing in ever green mother nature

A loud Amazonian bird screams
Right into the girl's ears
She saw too much
Her hands started to itch
She ran
And she left her breath where she stood

A spirit, a river god
Picked up her forgotten breath
Gave birth to another fish
A colorful fish
Saw a dream
It was very short
But it sure was sweet

The man never saw, nor the little girl, but the fish did,
Once.

"Glassy Eyes" - written on 03/30/2012

Glassy eyes
They gaze into the land
Terribly afar
Perhaps it's a mirage
An illusion
Beautiful and dreadful
All at once

They do not see
What surrounds them near
Planets apart
Or even galaxies
Concept of time / place / gravity
Seem to have evaporated

They follow their spiritual guardians
Travel to the space
Where there is a sofa
Infinitely dark and magnetic

Signs and signals from the earth
Barely captured and transmitted

Deep within
A mirror silently reflects
Memories
Sounds
Smells
Tastes
Touches
The glassy eyes swim freely
Through the information
Of collective consciousness

They converse
With the universe
In languages we cannot hear
Two planets collide and collapse
Led to a huge explosion
Mass destruction and reconstruction
The process is repeated
Endlessly, ever constantly

(continue to the right)

(continued)

I gaze out of the glassy eyes
Picking up leftover images of what just happened
Overjoyed and sighed
Tried to reground myself
To calm down

Then I look back and realized
Those eyes saw through
But us

Devastating truth
Light was shed
Secrets revealed
Body and spirit grew apart

Beyond the clouds
In some place one can only feel
A requiem was sang and heard
Choir mourned in pain and sorrow
Prayed for the goodness
In all mankind

A beautiful soprano voice
Quietly and kindly
Sent an invitation
Of acceptance.
